11.28.2009: Lalibela

On Friday, we traveled to Columbus to meet up with Seth’s parents. We did a little shopping at Polaris. The children got to sit on Santa’s lap and tell him what they wanted for Christmas. Mastewal even made a return trip after our shopping to tell him about the Princess Tiana slippers that she had found that she now “must have”.

Saturday we met up with Tesfa and had Ethiopian food at Lalibela.

I think I’ve found (or Tesfa ordered) the closest thing to the roasted tebs I loved so much from my last trip to Ethiopia. Oh my goodness.

We were also treated to a coffee ceremony.

And a machiato. A LOT LARGER than what I was served in Ethiopia.

It was a nice day.

We topped it off by getting some dabo and injera from a nearby Ethiopian Market.

It doesn’t get much better than this.
