We are Seth and Heather. We’ve been married for 8 years. We started our journey to adopt from Vietnam in January 2007. In May of 2008, we transfered to the Ethiopia Program with our agency. In late April/early May 2008 we were matched with a birthmother domestically who gave birth to our son Myer on October 30, 2008. We welcomed him home on Monday, November 3, 2008! We also accepted the referral of our daughter Mastewal on July 14, 2008 after watching and praying for her on our agency’s waiting child list for several months. We then accepted the referral of our son Afton on September 19 , 2008 (we were matched with him while our director was in Ethiopia). We traveled to Ethiopia to bring them home at the end of February 2009. This is the tale of our how our lives have been turned upside down in less than a year as we followed God to bring home three children in a four month time frame. Thanks for joining us on this journey.

Heather,
I would love to chat with you more about adopting an HIV+ baby. Could I email you some questions?? My email is na.mclaughlin@gmail.com, if you wouldn’t mind emailing me so I could email you. Our questions are more in regards to the financial responsibility with taking on an HIV+ child. Thank you! I look forward to hearing from you!
